The problem with your analysis is that the republicans are and have been moving to the left, just slower over time than the left itself. 20 years ago you wouldn’t find a republican saying two gay men could adopt children, or get married. Trump himself said #5 of his recent TS post was allowing kids to be trans with parental consent. We all believed in borders and very little immigration. Now we grant amnesty to those who work for large industries. All the things I’m not happy about now are things I actively voted against, won, and got largely the opposite. Aside from all that I’d just simply state that presidents aren’t elected, but selected. Our votes mean nothing. It isn’t surrendering our vote. It’s a refusal to continue to support things we don’t support.

I will NEVER surrender my vote to the side that won’t stand for Americans. I don’t have to be in 100% agreement with my side of the aisle, to know the alternative will leave our country FAR worse. A voter that surrenders their vote, fails our previous, and future generations.

There clearly are lines (“sides”) being drawn.. so where do I stand? Just being up front with everyone, I ride with Trump 100%. Do I agree or understand with everything happening? No… but I do know the world was a pretty F’d up place before he came onto the scene and I had no clue how bad and dark it truly was until him.. Does that mean I despise or believe the “other side” is bad and has a nefarious agenda? No… not at all. I try to listen to everyone. But if there is truth on that side (maybe intentional?), it warrants attention. There are honestly things I truly have disliked about both “sides” and I have expressed them over the years. This shit has stressed me out at times… because I for one care about those who trust my judgment (all of you). It’s tough to know who to trust anymore… and I don’t even want to add to that anxiety — If I ever lead anyone astray, it would devastate me. Sometimes I don’t know what to say.. When it comes to these muddied subjects… where the answers are not entirely clear, the one thing you can always count on from me is to be level headed… think things through, and ask appropriate questions. If you’ve followed me over the years, just know, I value your trust and I’m doing my best to navigate these waters too.
