When you’re supporting someone, your words are powerful. It’s vital that victims and survivors get the right response when they reach out to you.

Domestic abuse can also affect young people. The #16DaysOfActivism campaign is a good opportunity to highlight sources of help and support so if you know anyone who might need to reach out, @GDASS_ can offer group work & 1:1 support for young people experiencing domestic abuse

The safety of your friend or loved one – and their children – is paramount. Talk to them about how they can stay safe. Remember, in an emergency and if you fear for your friend’s safety, always call 999.

It takes a lot of courage to leave someone who controls and intimidates you. Try not to put pressure on your loved one to leave right away. Leaving is not a single act – it is a process that takes time. Let them know that you are there for them, no matter what they decide to do.

Delivering gifts to our customers at Christmas, will be warmly received and sends a very clear message that they are in people’s hearts and minds. GDASS are very grateful to Dunelm and their customers for thinking of our customers.
