OTD in 1949, Pat Rice was born in Belfast. Pat played for The Gunners over 500 times and was a member of the first double-winning side. He also lifted the FA Cup as captain in 1979. 🔴⚪️ ⚽️ 👏👏

OTD in 1964, Lee Dixon was born in Manchester. He played for The Arsenal from 1988 to 2002. Lee made 619 appearances, the 4th highest. Great RB. 🔴⚪️ ⚽️ 👍

OTD in 1989, Theo Walcott was born. 397 appearances for The Gunners and 108 goals, from 2006 to 2018. 🔴⚪️ ⚽️ 👍

@Garyfooballnut Had the pleasure of meeting Cliff ‘boy’ Bastin when I was a nipper, Dad took us to his pub (think it was coach & horses) he signed my Dads book under his picture when 7 Arsenal layers played for England.

OTD in 1912, Cliff Bastin was born in Devon. He made his Arsenal debut aged 17 in 1929. He scored 178 goals in 395 games, winning 5 titles and 2 FA Cups. 🔴⚪️ ⚽️ 👏👏

OTD in 1974, George Armstrong had his much deserved Arsenal testimonial against Barcelona. Geordie made 621 appearances, the 3rd highest, from 1962 to 1977. Great Arsenal man. Great player. ❤️🤍 ⚽️ 👏👏
