Honestly…..Im at the point where I don’t want what happens adapted.
Marky could be made by taking Mark’s DNA while he’s in a coma recovering from the Scourge and fusing it with tech to get Anissa pregnant as she chooses Mark. That’s still fucked but it would be much more tolerable than having to see all the awful fucking people in this fandom, call Mark lucky… or continue to claim Mark “secretly wanted it” for bullshit reasons cause they’re loser fuckin creeps.
The unfortunate part is that Mark is representation of something that DOES need to be talked about…it’s just that this fandom is so immature and stupid that it’s best to just avoid the plotline altogether….
IF…they do adapt it, I hope that they don’t go the comic route in the aftermath where they try to make Anissa redeemed and likable (it didn’t work there. Won’t work here.)
