Once you start living with a woman, the first things ALL OF them try to do are:
1. Take control of the home.
They decide what decorations, furniture, paint colors, and overall style the house should have.
2. Isolate you from your family, especially your mother.
Two people cannot both be in control, so she may see your mother as competition for influence and attention.
3. Control visitations.
Her family often seems to have an unlimited pass and a permanent room, while your family needs an appointment and can only stay for a limited time before she starts making the environment uncomfortable.
4. Control your social life.
She doesn’t want to share your attention with your friends, so she starts by complaining that you spend too much time with them. If that doesn’t work, she may single out a particular friend and insist she doesn’t like him and that you should stop hanging around him.
5. Control your finances.
She may have no problem with you spending money on her parents, buying them gifts, or helping them financially, but draws the line when you do the same for your own family because you’re “supposed to be saving money.”
These are the same people who claim men want to control women through submission in marriage. Sometimes what they accuse others of doing is exactly what they do themselves…they project their own behavior onto others.
