It’s been a while since I booted up my iPhone 12 mini. Tried jumping from iOS 26 dev beta 1 to iOS 27. iOS already crashed twice and the 64GB of storage is basically maxed out. The system itself uses 30+ GB and the update needs about 22GB to install. I’ll try going to 26.5 first

Gotta say, iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 27 is very usable. I think users with older iPhones will be very happy keeping their phones a little longer Or more likely resale value of older iPhones goes up and maintains. An old iPhone with iOS 27 is probably faster than newer Android

Battery life is about the same as on iOS 26.5. I find iOS 27 to also be a bit faster. The new Siri is a huge improvement and works better than I was expecting.

I have been really enjoying iOS 27 so far. It has been a pleasant surprise how stable everything is in the first developer beta. I did run into one annoying bug; RCS would not activate with my carrier. However disabling and re-enabling it fixed the issue.

@mweinbach I’m pretty happy with my investments in Intel. When they were going through their rough patch, I bought a bunch of shares at $20 each. I kept slowly selling shares as they kept going up. Thankfully, I didn’t sell them all before their recent crazy increase in price.

With the memory market continuing to go crazy, it's actually much cheaper to buy a Framework Desktop Mainboard with 128GB of LPDDR5x and a 16-core Ryzen AI Max processor at $1,699 than it is to build a 16-core Ryzen desktop with 128GB of DDR5 (~$2,000)!
