@fandompulse Welp.. that guy was at least 50% inaccurate. We'll see if the other 50% end up happening.
English

@fandompulse I dont know, but I don’t think that guy is credible. To his credit, he always calls it ‘rumor’.. which basically means nothing.
English

@djairrick We need to normalize holding your favorite franchise to a high standard. Constructive Criticism is ok, even if we don't agree. I'm ok with it going away and finding a new path forward. Hopefully it will be better. Maybe it won't. but I'm ok with that risk.
English

This is how dumb these guys are... with this show failing they most likely will NOT make anymore Star Trek TV for a long time... you guys did this to yourselves... so things like Strange New Worlds wont happen if you dont let other things on the menu

You can argue and attack the fans. Or swallow your pride and realise you should listen to them.
English

@DavidLeavitt No. Not as many people watched SFA as those shows. That’s why it was cancelled. Turns out, when you tell longtime Trek fans that it’s not for them it’s for the YA crowd, they believed them and stayed away.
English

Are the people that hated #StarfleetAcademy the same ones that bashed Star Wars Acolyte and Willow?
English

@Dan_Leckie If they had been able to parse through the ratings of TOS, and understand more about demographics, it never would have been cancelled. SFA is too expensive to let it 'find its audience'. It had a built in audience that had no interest in YA Trek. They did this to themselves.
English

If we'd had this one-and-done approach to #StarTrek years ago, the show would have begun & ended with "The Cage". Even if TOS was made, there'd be no films after TMP, nor TNG, DS9, Voyager, or Enterprise after their 1st seasons. A new Star Trek show needs time to grow!

English

@Dan_Leckie That crowd was never watching this show. They just piled on. They lost the built in audience by focusing on YA. They tried to cater to both, but long time fans believed the marketing. That's the reality.
English

To MAGA scumbags who have taken a stance against the TV series #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy, I say…

English

@stargazer0118 @Dan_Leckie The problem with that is that it didn't have a strong base to grow from, and it is SUPER expensive to produce. Not to mention... Holly Hunter can't be cheap.
English

@Dan_Leckie I'm not so shocked since it apparently didn't find a big enough audience, but it still hurts because it was GOOD! It could have grown its audience with the second Season. Some shows need time to grow. 😢 #StarfleetAcademy
English

I am shocked to learn that #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy will end with its second season. The show's first season was brilliant, imho, albeit with some room for even more potential. Hopefully that will be capitalised on, to some extent, in Season 2. Looking forward to it! 🖖

English

@Dan_Leckie It's not a shock at all if you just look at the ratings. It failed to find an audience. Which is something for a Star Trek show. Even Trekkies tuned out on it. Turns out.. eschewing the existing audience for a new one isn't such a great idea.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) keeps getting dismissed over a thirty-second origin gag, while the rest of the film just moves. Train heist, Donald Glover locking into Lando & a crew dynamic that actually clicks. It never really got judged on what it is.

What is the most unfairly hated movie that you will defend every time

@UGAfootballLive I love #2, but 1 is Iconic, so 1. 3 is like New Coke.. not worth keeping around.
English

@fandompulse I don't. Andor showed us that there are other stories to tell in that universe, they just have to be good. Mando was great for two seasons.
English

@fandompulse Absolutely not. Where is there to go? More genre big swings? There is no character development to speak of from where they are now on SNW, and where they are by the second pilot in TOS. Only thing you can really do is focus on telling good sci-if, which they don’t do on SNW
English

Star Trek: Year One has been pitched to Paramount according to Strange New Worlds showrunner Henry Alonso Myers.
"Yeah, we’ve brought them a lot. We’ve done a lot to give to them. It’s in their hands right now. They’re taking a look at it, trying to decide it. I mean, there’s a lot of love for our show over there, and obviously a lot of love for Star Trek."
Would you want to see this show?

English

@ThatChrisEvans0 I like the idea behind it, but the dialogue was just weird. I mean.. who would talk that way? Just didn’t feel natural.
English

@thatstarwarsgrl He loves the cash he gets because of it. I don’t think it’s that he wants to destroy it, quite the opposite… but despite his words here, it’s apparent he doesn’t understand it, at all, and that’s lead to its creative and ratings decline. Truth hurts.
English

He doesn’t love Star Trek. He loves bastardizing it.

I’m betting coaches were completely insulated from it all. Which isn’t to say they didn’t know something. But I imagine there is real protection in making sure they were insulated.

Former Alabama running back Trent Richardson weighed in on Nick Saban’s stance against paying players. “Honestly, I don’t get why he’s even commenting on it, they gave me and my family $75,000 just to commit, plus $10,000 a month to stay at Alabama.”

@CinemaTweets1 I love Tombstone… but.. hot take… I think Wyatt Earp is the better film.
