This Rose Byrne versus Jessie Buckley stan war has now officially ruined what should’ve been a fun awards season for me. Time and time again, the misogyny is frightening and disappointing. Look, I get it Buckley winning the entire season must’ve been boring, but can we just take a step back and grow up? Rose Byrne will be back again with the right role, and she may have a chance of winning even this Sunday. Jessie Buckley has had a marvelous performance, and it is certainly not her fault that she swept the season and may win the Oscar this Sunday. These people we watch on screen are human beings, and they have family who are on social media and might see this absolute bullshit. I can’t imagine how much it must hurt the families, and if people think that their actor who they are supporting would be proud of them or happy for the support? Dead wrong! Behavior like this only taints the win.

This is Punk… as much as I respect Timothy Chalamet. Punk was often safe Haven for LGBTQ people and castaways . Using the phrase dilutes what punk really means,which is tearing down norms, not starring in a PG-rated musicals. Derek Jarman was taken far too soon…

Tilda Swinton and other actors would like a word… The work of Derek Jarman was punk. Singing about chocolate isn’t … I respect Timothée Chalamet as an actor, but there are so many important films made throughout the decades that are actually punk and strive to change notions of what film should be. When I think a punk, I think of Derek Jarman, or even Ken Russell. People who refuse to be labeled . They push boundaries . I highly recommend jubilee , or Sebastian, Caravaggio, Edward II, The Devils.
