🇺🇸 🇮🇷 The USA is not "giving" Iran a penny.
1) Frozen funds belong to Iran. We only hold $2 billion worth. China holds the most at $20 billion. These exist to ensure Iranian compliance. If they comply it is natural to assume they would be released.
This is not a "gift" as these funds do not belong to us.
2) The whole $300 billion thing is very fuzzy. It won't include a penny in US taxpayer money. It is for private investors. Nothing will be available until after Iran signs the final agreement giving up their nuclear weapons program.
Regardless, this is NOT US taxpayer money.
