I sincerely hope I'm wrong here but as far as I can see England vs DR Congo on Wednesday at 5pm is on BBCiPlayer. The two main channels are showing Wimbledon. It's not ITV's turn to show England. Surely they must alter the schedules. If not it is scandalous.

I find it curious that #r4today @BBCr4today are referencing "water canon" rather than "water canons" in their reporting this morning. Surely the latter (i.e. plural) must be used as there must be more than one water canon. Any insight on why they've opted for the former?

CAA has sent a letter to the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells regarding a performance some weeks ago featuring comedian Jen Brister. We had received deeply concerning reports from two Jewish audience members who attended the performance, who observed Ms Brister initiating chants of “F*** Israel, free Palestine” from the stage, encouraging the audience to join in. The Jewish audience members have told us that the atmosphere became more like that of a rally than a comedy performance, and that the hostility and aggression elicited by Ms Brister from the rest of the audience caused them to fear for their safety, as a result of which they felt compelled to leave the theatre. We have written to ask the venue to confirm its position on the performance and whether it will take steps with regard to safeguarding measures for audience members to prevent similar experiences from occurring in future.

As I complained that the liquid morphine & the intravenous paracetamol was not having the required effect of relieving the pain, whilst crying out in agony my wife & one of the nurses reminded me of the pain that they went through when giving birth. Something that I would never have & never will experience. I shall now put down my smartphone & attempt to get some sleep. This will probably not be an easy task due to the fact that I am connected to some pieces of plastic tubing. Sweet dreams folks

Once again I have been taken by ambulance to Bournemouth hospital following my recent surgery.
