The study was a replication and extension of Cacchione et al 2011. They discovered that babies prefer Picasso to Monet. We decided to double check this and use a neural net style transfer to create a Monet-style Picassos and Picasso style Monets. reiinakano.com/arbitrary-imag…

It's my last day at @GoldsmithsUoL 😔 Very pleased it included two babies visiting the @InfantLab to take part in an MSc project about baby art appreciation. 😍 Thanks to Nell it being such a cheerful little infant scientist. Thanks to Nazli for being a great research student

We are looking for women who have experienced self-perceived 'failure' or self-criticism when pregnant or in the first year after birth to take part in a (paid) online focus group. Please share widely, thank you! aruspsych.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8h…

Seriously, though: after a female grad student is mercilessly & inappropriately criticized on twitter, you tweet a dubious re-analysis of her data (adding invalid data to produce null results) and feature it in your weekly podcast--why???

As part of the next @fourbeerspod episode, I took a look at a recent field study of women at nightclubs. The key finding is that women's self-objectification moderates the relationship between their clothing and self-reports of feeling cold. bpspsychub.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/bj…

We're back! Melissa and baby Aster (8m) were the first visitors to @GoldsmithsUoL InfantLab since the pandemic. They took part in @zelish_k's new study of infant responses to music. Aster was asleep when she arrived but soon warmed up. She really liked her new t-shirt.

Does your baby like to dance? 👶🎶 A few years ago we helped @imogenheap create a song to make babies happy. Today we launch a fun study familes can do at home to see how babies learn to dance to The Happy Song. For 6 to 19 months olds. Please retweet. lookit.mit.edu/studies/d5df2d…

Had a fanastic conversation about Baby Psychology with Dr Nick Fortino for his "Psychology Is" podcast. It was great to be able to talk at length and in depth about the serious science of laughing babies. Nick is a great interviewer. youtu.be/Qwx5zXXuSBc

@AnneEUrai @NotionHQ @evernote So annoying that @NotionHQ don't fix/improve their Evernote import functionality. Anything complex fails and fails silently so you've no idea why. And it's got no sense to let you skip things it doesn't like.

@NotionHQ looks great, but doesn't have email forwarding or offline mode and fails to import most of my notes. Not sure I feel ready to manually migrate or leave them to die alone in an abandoned @evernote account

Over the years I've accumulated thousands of notes and a personalized GTD system (with tags and notebooks) in @evernote. Latest update is so annoying I'm planning to abandon ship - which note-taking app should I use?

@HeedLab @notion @NotionHQ I've been using @NotionHQ for a year. It's been transformative, becoming a second brain. All my lists, notes, things I've read (not papers) are in there. It even prompted me to start a journal. They're constantly improving it too. They have free option for education users.
