The Wrestling Watcher

@IsThisAWork

My name’s Marc and I was raised during a war. Grew up with ruthless aggression. Watched a kid from Chicago make it. Now I mindlessly share my opinion.

@Fibonacci69 Its funny how wrestling works and how everyone tries to take credit for things. HHH, Russo, Cornette all said they were the ones to come up with the screw job. I only believe Cornette's story. Also, Bret was in the right. He had creative control, Vince breached contract here.

Triple H claims he was the one behind the infamous Montreal Screwjob "Vince had come to us and said, Bret is not resigning and he won't drop the title to Shawn... the conversation was basically, here's what he's willing to do and it's gonna kill business" "There was just a silence and nobody knew what to say. I was probably the least important person on the totem pole at that time, but I was like, 'I gotta say it.' I was like, 'fuck that, like if he won't do business, do it for him.'" "That started a conversation that led to the Montreal Screwjob"

@Youngy54 People say that Austin’s heel turn didn’t work, but I thought it was very entertaining. Truthfully, it should have went to WM18 where Stone Cold faces Triple H for the belt and then he turns face after. Domino effect might have kept Austin from walking out a few months later.

I fucking love some heel Stone Cold. This mini feud with Spike over RAW and SmackDown that week was great stuff.
On This Day in WWE@OTD_in_WWE

#OnThisDayInWWE 25 years ago on #WWERaw: "It ain't fair, Spike... You don't deserve to be in the ring again with Steve Austin" "A $2 punk with a 5 cent haircut... Little Molly here, she's still a little bimbo" And the slap that leads to a Stunner! A brilliant promo

@TheOVW5 I always thought Show and Brock had really good chemistry. I really liked their string of matches in 03.

Brock Lesnar and Big Show fight off air on Raw (2017) This was probably the last time these 2 physically interacted in WWE.

@TheLapsedFan Hulk really was a can’t miss prospect. The size, the speaking ability (even here) and the athletic ability was all the makings for a superstar. Truly, besides Brock Lesnar, were there any other obvious can’t miss prospects in wrestling? @GreatBrianLast

This is massive. As discussed on the latest episode of The Complete Hulk Hogan, we believe this is the first time Hulk ever uttered the phrase "Hulkamania" in a televised interview. It aired Sept. 27, 1980, and was taped Sept. 10, 1980. The idea that "Hulkamania" was first deployed as an obnoxious heel phrase from a vainglorious Hogan - and not after Rocky III as part of his face turn - blew our minds. So Hulkamania was running wild in 1980, and the fans hated it! Here Hogan also hints at magazine and TV offers coming in. We wonder, is this the earliest hint at Stallone's interest in him? We're pretty sure we know what magazine he's talking about - more on that on an upcoming episode of The Complete. Amazingly, Hogan also predicts here that he'll be the superhero of the 1980s - and it's said in a way that fans are expected to scoff at, not believe in. At first, Hulkamania was not supposed to be something the fans got behind. Quite the opposite. Accept this reality.

@Rayxeets Do you think every UFC fighter that fought at the White House was a Trump supporter?

@davebftv Who’s Tremaine Edwards? This is obviously a Bears offensive player’s ballot and he mixed up TJ and Trumaine.

@heelmatt79 How he should have been introduced: Sting confronts Bret, “who’s the real world champion?” Sting v Bret @ Nitro, nWo interferes since those 2 would be their top enemies from Starrcade. Jan PPV, Sting/Bret over Outsiders Keep Bret against heels, nWo or have Benoit turn on Bret.

@prowrestletimes Forbidden Door is the 2019 Saudi shows WWE used to put on. They really don't mean much, you don't have to watch it, and nothing really matters going into it or coming out of it. Dave can blame it on whatever, but angles and storylines get crowds invested and this show was cold.

@WrestlePurists This is a good move for TNA. OVW will give people TV experience & Al is a good trainer. Can TNA select talent for their vision of a star? They're in the middle as they're not known for having best in-ring workers, but they also dont have a lot of body guys Time to pick a lane

TNA and Ohio Valley Wrestling are working towards an agreement that would see OVW become essentially a developmental system for TNA.  That agreement is set to be signed very soon. (PWInsider)

@Jobber_Kingdom @MikeTheRebel23 You don't think wrestlers can see the black ropes? Why could every promotion use black ropes throughout the late 90s and 00s? The reason why WWE moved to white ropes is because Kevin Dunn liked how it looked with HD camera betters. Don't make up stuff.
