The brutal crime of a son charged with killing his mother has sent shockwaves through the City of Natchez and Adams County as a whole.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said what makes the crime even more unthinkable is the methods of how Lana Brown Bradley’s alleged killer went about the crime.
The case began as a welfare check by deputies called to the home on Melanie Road on April 4, 2026. Bradley’s eldest son called police, because he couldn’t reach his mother the previous day.

Anthony Davis says when he was on the Pelicans he urged the GM David Griffin to pick Ja Morant over Zion in the draft.
“If you can get Ja Morant at [number] one, then we've got a real conversation going on because I know how we can help our team with Jrue. Jrue gotta handle the ball, he loves to get people involved, but like, ‘Jrue, go score.' We got somebody else who can do that now and play-make.
“But he [Griffin] was like, he can't, he's gotta take Zion. I just didn't see at the time where Zion and I would work. We're playing the same position. At this time, I would only play the four.”
Davis was traded to the Lakers less a month after the Pels drafted Zion 😅
