"For me, it might be simple: If you're worthy of the award and you haven't played 65 games, you should still get the award, but maybe you don't get the trigger to the money that goes with the award. I think that's one of the things that's not talked about. Also huge implication, if the spurs lose tm and the thunder go 3-0 in their next 3 against no comp we secure the 1 seed and likely sit against denver. Basically if the nuggets win tm they will likely play a sitting thunder and spurs to close the season with 2 freebies in between

Saturday will be huge for the nuggets. If they win that there is a good chance the thunder will have a big enough lead on SA that the spurs will sit their guys on the last game of the season and they can go 4-1. Lakers would have to lose all of their serious games without luka

The biggest difference between SGA and Luka situation is ….
SGA team will beat you then he will beat you
Luka will beat you then his team will beat you
If Luka isn’t playing well or taking out the game it’s a wrap for this team
If SGA isn’t playing well his team can survive until he gets back on or they can win without him

I’m on board with the SGA is an all-time great train but can we also acknowledge that Luka is playing vs the best collection of perimeter defensive talent…ever?
Is that not important?
It doesn’t make SGA any less great but we can agree it’s harder for other guards to face OKC.

Obv injury sucks for luka but there is now a good chance luka dosent play next tuesday. If thats the case that almost another freebie stacked up after seeing tn. Losing to the nuggets wouldnt even mean nothing in that case

Clippers spurs cooked but its fine. With this win tn we only have to go 1-1 against the next lakers game (should be free eats) and nuggets. Suns should sit their guys in their last game its 2-1 if you include the clippers game and 2 freebies with sitting suns and jazz
