Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Omer Tischler reveals a massive strike wave targeting hundreds of sites in Iran was called off just one hour before takeoff on June 8. In a letter to soldiers, Tischler said the entire Air Force was ready for a broad sortie into "the heart of Iran" when the operation was halted mid-briefing. The strike was reportedly scrapped after President Trump instructed PM Netanyahu not to escalate. Tischler confirmed that earlier offensive operations 1,500km from home struck dozens of Iranian targets, significantly damaging Iran's air defense system and hitting additional regime components.

Yo, @elonmusk is not a trillionaire. He's not worth a trillion+ dollars. This valuation is based on taking the marginal stock price and assuming he could sell all that he owns for that marginal price. And he can't, for two reasons. First, the demand curve won't allow it. All that supply would push the price way, way down. And second, much of the stock's current value is premised on Elon's control of the company. People believe he's the best guy to run it. If he sold the stock, he'd lose control of the company, and that would also drive the value down. Compare this to Trump. A fair estimate of his value is his real estate portfolio because if he could sell Trump Tower for $3B today, he really is worth $3B . No doubt, Elon's worth a lot of money, and may be the wealthiest man alive, but there should be a better way of measuring the wealth of an individual than the "market cap" that is completely unrealizable.

San Francisco police responded to a theft at the Trader Joe’s on California and Hyde streets around 7:36 a.m. When officers tried to detain the suspect, he took off running into the street. Two officers followed him into the roadway, where a vehicle struck all three. One of the officers was pinned underneath the car until rescue crews could free him. All three were rushed to the hospital. The theft suspect later died from his injuries. The two officers were also injured in the collision. Police have not yet released the name of the deceased.
