I know I'm super privileged to live in a country that respects trans rights and has strengthened hate crime laws in response to the regression lately down south But it's so wild to me to read some Americans on here thinking gender/gender identity is some grand conspiracy the world invented ten years ago and not simply accepted fact since the last mid century, some 90 odd years ago, by psychiatry, sociology, anthropology, biology etc. Kind of like watching a really old film and snorting at a character saying something we know is hilariously incorrect in modern times

@GobuWren transition is something that takes a long time. Most doctors wont let you just go straight to it, they make you do therapy for a while. And thats if you even get a dr that supports it at all. Even when you start hrt, it can take years to see results. It's not just a day away

@coffindwellers Roy in rl though confuses me. Why didn't they transition once they were free from their mom and had independence and a job to pay for hrt? I feel like the first thing they'd want to do is be themselves if they're really trans? (Genuinely asking)

@Gurbur_cabhat It's never been one thing. It's always been a playground for artist to express themselves in a cool world. They have always been pushing boundaries and testing new things. I love every game for different things, because they all try something risky.

@RainyRentyn I was super mentally abused and used, and it made me have a mental breakdown where I deleted all my socials. I lost 4k+ followers and all the stuff I made for years. The ex kept posting and moved on, even spreading false stories. it was awful

One thing that sucks about the content creation space is that someone, or a group of people, that treated you horribly in private can just continue to have a career publicly cause maybe what happened is not something that is worth publicly announcing. If you want to be in this space you have to understand that some people won't get along with you. You will have to be professional around people you may have used to be friends with or even people you don't like. It's just part of the job even if it sucks

God I've been crying so much over Oliver Tree's death. He was such a big inspiration to me. His music got me through a lot of shit in my life. I always respected his drive when it came to respecting art and being his truest self. He inspires me to keep up with my own art. fuck...

I feel like 99% of the people i've tried to reach to the people who are like "i want vtuber friends" usually just stop talking after like a couple messages I'm not sure if it's a me problem but it just feels like people probably realize you have to put time and effort into making friends and instantly are disinterested 🥹

@the_Journalist8 cuz its just a throwaway gag and not everything needs to be on a pedestal as a lore implication. Thats why people hate the series for its "bad lore" because they assumed every little fart bubble was a mystery to solve

@Mapocolops I never had the chance to play D1, so I missed all of that setup. I only really played Red War on D2's release and a lil of what came after. I missed several years worth of content. I live in a weird D2 limbo where I dont have the beginning, or the end, just what's in the middle

The biggest stain on Destiny 2 will forever and always be the removal of content. It is absolutely baffling everytime I think about it and is a hole Bungie could not patch up to avoid sinking that ship. I don’t think the engine upgrade was worth removing years of story and content, in any way. I’m playing through some missed Final Shape/Renegades stuff right now and having a blast, but I wish I could go back much much further. I can’t personally experience the seasonal stories I missed, new players will never be able to play Destiny 2 in a format that won’t be absolutely confusing and off putting. The game fixed some parts of FOMO, but will never escape the true FOMO of actual paid story content. I just wish they were able to bring it all back before the end…story, seasonal missions, lore books, all of it. The whole game available for you to work through. Existing fans and new players curious about the world deserve to experience hours upon hours of hard work that does not exist anymore. Idk how I’d feel as a developer either through narrative, art, or gameplay that the stories you worked on are lost media in one of the biggest games ever. I imagine it’s soul crushing. It’s the problem I place right at the top of the list for why Destiny 2 failed to grow, it could only hang on to existing players that were already struggling to stay and new players had no proper introduction or onboarding for the story. Final Fantasy XIV…super popular, new players constantly, big surges in player numbers over the years. I can experience the story from day one with Realm Reborn, and go through everything. That game is free for the base game + 3 expansions now, and handles paid expansions very well where you buy the current one and get everything that came before so new players don’t have to buy so many past expansions, and then it comes with a sub fee. Should Destiny done something similar? I think so. I would have waited extra time for full expansions to release instead of forcing themselves to release new ones every year. I would have paid them a sub fee for when I was actively playing too. Destiny was an MMO without the systems that keep an MMO afloat, it would have allowed them resources and efficiency to respond to feedback much better than upcoming content already being locked in because it has to come out so soon. I’ll stop the ramble here because it’s such a big subject, but I mourn my complete Destiny 2 experience. Quite literally the “You just had to be there” Game.

@Invinium As long as youre having fun, thats all that matters. They give you a 40 to 50 minute timer for a mission for a reason. People that min-max things to get a 1 minute kill are ruining the game for themselves. I'd rather have a fun 25 min mission than a fast soul draining 3 minute

I've been having a good time with monster hunter so far, a shit ton of tutorials and pop ups, not sure if this is a norm for the series but I'll assume it is. I'm taking a while to kill every monster and I hope thats normal and not a skill issue on my end.
