@sporza EK-kwalificatie in Litouwen zonder basisvijf met verlies als logisch gevolg, is achteraf gezien een dure misrekening. Elke FIBA-wedstrijd telt voor de ranking, zelfs het puntenverschil (+15) speelt een rol, ook al voor de hervorming van het systeem. Wist men dit niet?

The Great Hospital Con: Doctors Without Borders (MSF) pulled out of the al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, and just yesterday explained its decision. It has said exactly what I have repeatedly talked about for over a year and shared personal examples of friends of mine being imprisoned, interrogated, and tortured within various facilities inside the hospital from Hamas's intelligence and security services. MSF is two years late to this recognition but it is ultimately confirming what even a child in southern Gaza could have told the organization or the NYT, Washington Post, BBC, Al Jazeera and countless others had they bothered to ask - which is that Hamas has literally turned Gaza's three main hospitals into headquarters for security, ministerial, and administrative operations. When I said this time and again, people would yell and scream how I was irresponsibly justifying Israel’s targeting of the hospital, even as the same people would not utter a word about their favorite terrorist fascist organization jeopardizing the safety of medical facilities for two years of the deadly war. Congratulations “pro-Palestine” activists: you have been conned by your beloved resistance organization which has caused the death of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians by its conduct and behavior. Get Hamas out of Gaza’s hospitals now!

This city in Israel will never make it to the news. In this city, Muslims, Christians and Jews live together, work together, and marry each other. I went to Haifa, Israel to see it for myself. There are no Arab neighborhoods or Jewish neighborhoods. Everyone lives together. The hospitals are 50% Arab, 50% Jewish. The biggest tech companies in Haifa like Google, Microsoft, and Apple are full of Arab and Jewish engineers. But you will never see this story on the news. Because peace doesn't make it to the news. I saw it with my own two eyes - the people of Haifa will never stop trying for coexistence.

Hier het antwoord van een ex-docent: Tuurlijk, zéker gaan wij de Nakba onderwijzen. Dan vertellen we hoe vijf Arabische legers in 1948 Israël binnenvielen om alle Joden de zee in te drijven. Dan leggen we uit dat de Arabische leiders hun eigen mensen opriepen om snel te vertrekken uit Israël, zodat ‘het Joodse vraagstuk’ ongehinderd opgelost kon worden. Dan behandelen we de rol van de grootmoefti, die in Berlijn thee dronk met Hitler, moslim-SS-divisies oprichtte en die een ‘Judenrein’ Midden-Oosten ambieerde. Dan vertellen we erbij dat die vijf Arabische legers dus duidelijk van plan waren om Hitlers ‘final solution’ alsnog af te ronden. Dan leren we de kinderen dat er 800.000 Joden uit islamitische landen zijn gejaagd - hun huizen, bedrijven, synagogen: álles lieten ze gedwongen achter. Dan leggen we uit dat Israël vervolgens ál deze vluchtelingen opving. En dat allemaal zónder steun van UNRWA, en zónder een decennia durende lucratieve slachtoffer-industrie. En dan sluiten we af met de enige juiste conclusie: de Nakba was géén koloniale catastrofe, maar een mislukt islamofascistisch genocidaal plan. Dus ja, onderwijs over de Nakba is inderdaad keihard nodig. Sinds 7 oktober zien we dit iedere dag opnieuw.
