My younger brother was arrested for what he knew nothing about. The okada man that carried him had hard drugs in his pocket and somehow the police stopped them. They searched my brother and found nothing. Searched the okada man and found drugs. That's how they accused and arrested my younger brother of doing drugs with the okada man. Meanwhile, one of the policemen kept the drugs to himself. The policemen took them to the station and dictated for my brother the statement he should write, asking him to write that he was arrested because he was doing drugs. When my brother refused, he was threatened. They told him they'd kill him and nobody would know his whereabouts. After so many back and forth with them, they took a sum of 100k from him before setting him free. Youths are not safe. Little children are not safe. Older citizens are not safe.

3 days ago, the Nigerian Army jumped a fence to shoot and kill an innocent Nigerian youth in his room, a serving NYSC youth. They moped his blood, picked up his brain and called it accidental discharge. Yesterday, a Nigerian policeman shot and killed a restrained youth who said he was sent to pick up a package. He begged for his life. His only request was justice. All he wanted was justice, but he was murdered by those who should protect and give him justice. I am so ashamed and infuriated. The Nigerian youths have faced too much in this country. They have been through so much💔. When would enough be enough?

I have tweeted this a few times, and I will tweet it again. Firstly, we cannot say they didn’t build or buy a house for their fathers just because it wasn’t posted online. Secondly, if they didn’t, there must be a story behind it. Lastly, and most importantly, we men underestimate the importance of bonding, showing up, and emotionally supporting our kids. We act like these things aren’t as important as providing. Many men don’t even try at all. no bond, no emotional support, and just providing. Do you know why many men are quick to disown their kids? It’s because there is no bond. We see it online all the time: a video of kids making mistakes, and men commenting, “If any of my kids try this, I will disown them.” That easy? The first thing that comes to your mind is to disown them? I changed so many diapers, soothed their sickness, and endured every tantrum, and you just want me to disown my kids? Many men see kids as people they only need to provide for. If all you do is provide, while the mother does the showing up, emotional support, and bonding, then when the kids grow up and it’s time to give back, they will do the same. Not because they are bad kids, but because that’s what they learned. They will celebrate their mother more. They will talk to her more. Meanwhile, you as the father who only provided, will only receive financial gestures and gifts. You will be taken care of. They will like post their mom and rarely post you. Ask people who openly celebrate their dads if all he did was provide. But if you never celebrated them when they were young, why should they celebrate you? You can’t expect them to miraculously create a bond you never built. If you’re lucky, your kids may unlearn that pattern and try to build a relationship with you, but it will be difficult, because they were raised with, “As a father, it’s my way or the highway.” I work 12 to 16 hours sometimes, and my daughter has a game right after that. I get tired, really tired, but I still show up. And many times, when I get there, the smile that lights up her face when she spots me in the crowd is priceless. I love seeing that. Do you think I always have the strength to go to parks, birthday parties, pools, and watch her play sports? Sometimes I want to rest, but I still try. And whenever I can’t make it, I communicate that with her. I don’t just fail to show up. I explain and give her reasons. So, my brothers, providing for your family and being emotionally present aren’t mutually exclusive. Try. Otherwise, when you are down, your kids won’t be beside you on your deathbed, but they will make sure you d*e comfortably.

I know one too who was very wealthy when he was younger. Wealthy and full of life. He married 4 women, sponsored(not raised) all his kids. Most of them are abroad. Some are doing well. Some are junkies. Today, he is abandoned too in Nigeria and depends on extended family for survival. I used sponsored and not raised. Many of you will sponsor your kids. You won't raise them. Then at old age, of course they will abandon you. When you are ready to raise kids, you will find out that it takes much more than money. It requires your time and values. Goat no dey born dog Lion no dey born goat What you put in is what you get. As long as the eelarth remains, sowing and harvest shall not seize. Whatever a man sows, he reaps. If you want kids to care and bond with you, you will raise them in a way that will make them do that when they grow. Them no dey learn how to use left hand for old age.

The Nigerian Army killed a corps member and is lying about it. Just this April alone, the Nigerian Army has lied at least 3 times. Tinubu has corrupted an institution that should be very truthful. We are finished.

I travelled to the village today and I went to greet my uncle. He's my dad's immediate elder brother. When I entered his house, I saw him putting on a city Boy's cap with the Tinubu's logo. I asked him how he got the cap and he told me his son came back from school and gave it him. He said his son told him to vote for Tinubu and that he will vote for him. This his son is in his second year in the university and I have been paying his school fees, right from JAMB registration till now. This my uncle started preaching to me to vote for Tinubu. I just left with everything I came to give him and brought them back to Aba. I called the son this evening and he confirmed that he's now a member of the City Boys. This boy has the gut to beg me for feeding money. I just told him that he will never receive any kobo from me again and blocked him. The father has been calling me, but my mind is made up shaa. Before you support this wicked administration, make sure you can take care of yourself.

If you’re supporting APC please don’t look to join my team or send a cv. Asides the fact that I won’t be giving my hard earned money to any APC supporter , I’m also fully aware that your judgement on what is right is seriously flawed , you cannot build your life talk more of building a company . Please don’t apply .

Life hack: It's good for your mental health to always have someone that is always happy to see you. If you don't have someone, get a pet that is always excited to see you. You need to feel what it means to matter.
