I joined thousands of women across Akwa Ibom State at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium to commemorate the 2026 International Women’s Day, with the Wife of the President, Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, as Special Guest. I appreciate the First Lady for her kind words and encouragement, and for acknowledging the progress we are making in promoting women's development and inclusive governance. I also reassured our people that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to the Ibom Deep Seaport and the ongoing Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, both of which will unlock new economic opportunities for our State. The event also featured the endorsement of President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and my humble self for the 2027 elections by the women of Akwa Ibom State. I congratulate Akwa Ibom women on the successful celebration and thank them for their continued support and commitment to the progress of our State.
