I’ve noticed the last few days that I am getting random tweets. That I think our ads but they’re not labeled ads ? in my timeline. Of people I don’t know. Is this a new thing?

Incredible hyper-lapse video of a large tornado moving across south Enid, Oklahoma! Captured with our Enid cam, you will see the tornado disappear into a curtain of hail only to remerge moments later! #okwx @KOCOMichael @NWSNorman @KOCOdamonlane @MikeMorganKFOR

Firing vases this week. I glazed this one in cream and glossy green, but the kiln gods decided it needed some white drifts and a swath of blue. Happy Thursday, friends.💚 #pottery

This street dog lived most of her life in pain, fearful of people… The first photo shows when she arrived at Happy Doggo Land. She came to us terrified, no fur, cracked skin, and drooling with fear. The second photo is her today. Light in her eyes, a healthy fluffy coat and a fresh bandana that she picked out herself 💙 We've got you Sienna 😍

The Earth doesn’t need our applause. It needs our attention, our restraint, and our willingness to show up for it the way it has always shown up for us. Happy #EarthDay Get outside. Touch Grass. 🌍

When I need a quick escape, the Basin has always been one of my favorite stops in Franconia Notch. Like most of us, I’m ready for spring weather, but this weekend’s light snowfall in the White Mountains reminded me not to miss what’s here just because I’m waiting for what’s next.

Sometimes when I'm going to sleep at night, I like to focus really hard and think about what my life used to be like as an alcoholic. I think it's really important not just to visualize what you want in the future, but also to remember where you've come from in the past. That photo is my table that I used to work at every night. I say "work," but Id just have two bottles of wine, four Valiums, and smoke 40 cigarettes while watching YouTube videos and often crying to myself. I was utterly miserable, suffering from depression, anxiety, and just chasing the next drink. People often think being an alcoholic is glamorous and partying and living the high life, but in reality, this is a scene that many people will know very well. The reason I like to remember those days is because I appreciate what I have now. My life is surrounded by dogs, and while the days might be really tough and long and challenging, nothing will ever be as lonely or as sad or as challenging as those days alone at the desk. I share this post not looking for comments or praise for being sober, but rather to show people out there who are currently suffering themselves. I know there's thousands of people who are having a sneaky glass of wine or even a bottle. I know there are people with Valium and Xanax in their pocket, popping one on a constant basis for anxiety. Every home, every workplace, every friend group, every sports team is packed full of people suffering from all sorts of things that we would never even know. You might not get better today, or tomorrow, or even this year. It took me 25 years and probably a thousand attempts to get over my own battles. To be honest, I still struggle with anxiety and depression at times today. But please don't give up. Please remember that you're not alone, and please keep fighting for your own future because better days are out there. If you are unlucky enough to have somebody who suffers in your friend group or family, stick with them, encourage them. I know it's tough, but one day they'll get there. Big love to you all. Happy just to be alive here ❤️

Incredible send off ! 🌷 🌷 🪿 🪿 😮 On this day last year, thousands of snow geese took off from a field near McLean Rd. Their migration starts around the first of April, but we got lucky in the middle of the month with tulips in bloom. The way they lift off above the colors is breathtaking. #wawx #pnw #nature

She was supposed to attend a Daniel Craig film premiere in London that weekend. Instead, she was in a Belfast hospital with 39 separate injuries. She was 29 years old. Winnie M Li was a Harvard graduate and a George Mitchell Scholar who had co-produced a short film shortlisted for an Oscar. She flew to Belfast for a conference. The day before she was supposed to fly home, she decided to squeeze in a solo hike through a forest park on the western edge of the city. A 15-year-old boy followed her in and raped her in broad daylight. She later said she went from being a confident woman to a ghost, with PTSD and depression so severe she had to give up her film career. Her attacker was sentenced to 8 years. He was out in 4. Hiking had been one of her great joys before the attack. It took years before she could do it alone again. In 2009, she forced herself to backpack through Southeast Asia for three months, trying to find the person she used to be. Five and a half years after the assault, she sat down and started writing about what happened to her. Her novel Dark Chapter, built from her own experience, won a major literary prize. Her second novel was fought over by five US publishers and picked by The New York Times for their book club. She co-founded a festival in London dedicated to conversations about sexual violence, and earned a PhD from the London School of Economics studying how survivors use their voices to reclaim their stories. And every year, on the exact anniversary of the worst day of her life, she goes on a solo hike. In her own words: to remind herself that beauty still exists, and she can enjoy it. This year was year 18. She walked the Southwest Coast Path along England's coastline, and the photos show her smiling on a cliff in Cornwall. After 17 years of doing this, she said the nausea and anxiety on the anniversary are finally gone. That took 17 years, but she got there. I have nothing to add to her story except this. If you are in the middle of your own recovery and it feels like it will never end, her 18 years of annual walks say otherwise.

18 yrs ago, I was violently assaulted & raped while walking alone. Every year on the anniversary of that day, I go on a solo hike to remind myself that there is still beauty in this world & I can enjoy it. This yr, I pushed myself & did a few days of the Southwest Coast Path…

Whenever I post a night photo, especially int the day, I'm always concerned that my viewers can't see the details if it's too bright out. The details in this one are in the shadows so if you could do me a favor, if it's bright out where you are then bookmark and view it when you're in an area that you can see the details. I'd be very much appreciative. 📍Johnson Reservoir Utah
