DB Stiff Arm Tackling Drill - Adding the stiff arm element to the sideline tacking drill - The focus is on breaking the stiff arm - Identify the stiff arm and notice that it's coming, then break the stiff arm down - Hit the ball carrier mid-forearm, above where a watch would be - Then finish the tackle with the head across and eyes up - Run the drill at a slow tempo - It's a violent action to break the arm down, then punch down on the ball Andy LaRussa, Asst Head Coach, Western Kentucky @CoachLaRussa #GlazierClinics
