Ken Griffey Jr. and Juan Soto are (observationally) completely different movers with different strengths. Griffey creates power through his shoulders. Soto creates power from the ground and his hips. Both work. Both are elite. When a swing looks “spinny” or different, we’re quick to call it a flaw. The real question is how you know what that player actually needs. That’s where #MotorPreferences helps. It gives you a clearer starting point instead of guessing. #ncaabaseball #springtraining

Failure is an opportunity to learn. The right mental approach is to assess and correct and be ready for the next pitch. @redturn2 shares experience with rickee_luevano_.

This offseason, Alex Bregman started Club Nemesis, a state-of-the-art performance hub designed specifically for professional baseball players. @CY24_7 took a trip to Scottsdale, AZ to get an up-close look at how the talent at Bregman’s club is preparing for the 2026 season.

🛑 Let’s stop confusing limitation with criticism. Most of the noise around Motor Preferences doesn’t come from informed disagreement. It comes from people projecting the limits of their own framework onto a model they don’t understand. 🔍 Many critiques are not based on knowledge of Motor Preferences. They are based on: 👀 what people can see, 🎯 what they’re used to explaining, 🧠 what has worked for them personally. That’s not analysis. That’s perspective. ⚙️ Motor Preferences don’t challenge physics. They challenge the idea that what you see is the explanation. 📸 If your entire understanding of movement is built on: - single images or clips, - isolated reps, - external shapes and positions, then yes, Motor Preferences will feel uncomfortable. ➡️ Because it states something very simple: the visible solution is a consequence, not the cause. 🧩 Moving from observable biomechanics to organizational neuro-biomechanics means accepting that: -⚖️ two athletes can look identical and function very differently, -🔋 energy cost, fatigue, robustness, and injury risk matter, -🌍 “it works for me” is not a universal rule. -🧠 That step requires intellectual effort. Not everyone is willing to make it. 🚨 And this is what actually bothers some people: The real discomfort isn’t being wrong. It’s realizing you’ve never analyzed the problem at that level. 🪞 So instead of questioning that limit, the model gets caricatured, reduced, or dismissed. - ❌ That’s not a scientific critique. -🛡️ That’s self-protection. -📊 On social media, confident simplifications get attention. -📚 Nuanced models get attacked. -❗ Engagement is not understanding. ❓ If this framework bothers you, ask yourself one honest question: Are you critiquing what it actually is, or reacting to what it exposes about your own level of analysis? @Volodalen @Motorpreferences @ABCA1945 @NFCAorg #baseball #softball #football #golf #basketball

Grateful for the community that made this year possible. A big thank you to our #MPEFam, our partners, and the platforms that continue to create space for meaningful conversations around movement. This work grows because coaches and athletes are willing to stay curious and explore instead of forcing solutions. Excited for what’s ahead in 2026. What are you most excited to learn more about next year? @ABCA1945 @NFCAorg #2026

It’s not always that you’ll see the instant results @JTGasso describes here. But understanding how an athlete prefers to move gets us to the answers faster. When we know their natural patterns, we have a better idea of which drills or cues will actually work and which ones will not. That means fewer wasted reps, fewer missed adjustments, and quicker access to the results we are chasing. ⚡️ Check out our latest episode of The MPE Pod Ep 5 with JT Gasso, now available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. 🎧 #OUSoftball #NCAA #AUSL #NFCA
