My 5000th tweet - Immortal lines of Ramdhari Singh. क्षमा शोभती उस भुजंग को जिसके पास गरल हैं, उसका क्या जो दंतहीन विषरहित विनीत सरल हैं.

It is no coincidence that VIF had both Dovalji and S.Gurumurthy together. PS. It was Cho who brought J into NDA to support Atalji back in 1999.

@Kal_Chiron Bengal was always nationalist and so is TN. Only it gets subsumed in regionalism. Let's see!

@ramana_brf WB will decide whether India will undergo partition 2.0 surely or whether there still is hope to prevent it. Things are so bad that it may happen nonetheless even if we win. But if we win it now, there is a fighting chance that it may be averted with minimum possible losses.

I see them now (post 2012/13) as generals of my army who are directing a massive and complex battle in which I am only a foot soldier. When they say retreat, I retreat. If they ask one front to bear the brunt, that front bears the brunt. I am sure there is some other front gaining right now which will eventually help win this war because the front I am in right now is bearing the brunt. The time for choice is over in 2012/13. One does not rethink in middle of the battle. Especially not the soldiers. And I trust my generals. They have best of deva-desha-dharma in their minds and are NOT ideologically compromised.

@Kal_Chiron So well written Sir Ji! But off late some statements coming from MB and NaMo on reservations and K2s reflect a softer stance towards them and more of a push to win them over/ accomodate them than to keep them in check. What is your view Sir?

People need to see this video. Especially after 04:00 minutes till the end. This entire 2009 speech is one of the most fascinating bauddhik sessions by Mohanji Bhagwat. Those interested- please listen from beginning. It is a very clear articulation of what Sangh is without any politics. MB had just started the consolidation of parivar orgs at this time. Several new initiatives were started which eventually pulled a large portion of Hindu youth in Hindutva/nationalistic narrative (without them realising they are being pulled towards Hindutva by Sangh). When I remember that phase now, I get goosebumps. That’s why the “maya Hindusthan” phrase of Dhurandhar hits so deep. It started taking shape in 2007/08. I remember this speech from Amdavad as if it happened yesterday. Some memories are etched permanently. This speech is where I understood why my old and dying relative grandfather said MB is a very good news that has happened to Hindus in long time. youtu.be/iDuA3brS4ac?si…

Told this long ago on twitter. Something fundamentally snapped in Hindus in 2008. It started before 26/11. Something very primordial woke up in shared Hindu consciousness. I request someone please help me find that tweet thread. In current times people won’t like it. But I shared this memory too long ago - as one my very elderly relative told this to me in 2008 - Mohan Bhagwat becoming Sarsanghchalak in 2008 was one of the most important turning points of Indian and Hindu history. That man rejigged entire parivar into one cohesive unit. It was best thing that happened to Hindus in modern history.

@Kal_Chiron The two elections WB and TN this year are crucial to end this undeclared civil war going on since 2014. Jihadidi and MKS have to go and let the nation consolidate and move ahead.

As a Mandayam Iyengar whose elders passed on the story verbally, it was only after 2014 that we saw Melukote gain spotlight for not celebrating Diwali. 2019 onward and Modi2.0 changed something. Hindus had shifted the Overton window on a lot of things esp. Perceived power of M.

As always, dada hits nail on its head. Hindus (who have elephantine memory - we memorise entire Shruti corpus) remember everything. This support to #TheKashmirFiles is indicator that Hindus in general have understood that it is OK now to speak about their memories without fear

This is also my primary motivation to oppose anyone who now tries to break this very hard earned unity. Be it caste based angle (GC vs obc vs dalit). Be it linguistic angle (Marathi vs outsiders or Tamil vs outsiders and so on). Be it racial (Aryan vs Dravidian, Vanvasis vs others). We have not pulled out this magnificent chariot from quicksand and repaired it only to have the parts making up that chariot fight against each other and self-destruct. That won’t be allowed to happen. The chariot of Hindudom will be preserved and made to do its ईश्वरदत्त कर्तव्य by sāma-dāna-danDa-bhéda-upekshā-Indrajāla etc six machinations.

When I see Dhurandhar - all these memories are churned. Not all are mine. Some shared by relatives and other network. So many things seen and witnessed and observed which make me really proud of what we have achieved from a brink of permanent destruction of Hindutva to today. The story is not as explosive and action-packed as Dhurandhar. But that story is what enabled Dhurandhar to happen. There are many who despise Doval ji for being an IPS and still being NSA (which was prominently held by IFS fellows). But he is NSA because of his work in VIF and FINS. His being IPS and IB-Chief is added qualification. Not primary trust building qualification. I hope someone tells this story - when it is safe to tell. When current threats are taken care of and the players (Mohan ji, NaMo, Ajit ji, Nitin Ji, Amit bhai) have retired and sailed into the sunset. Hindus need to know how close we were from being obliterated politically (and physically).

This is around same time when Ajit Doval retired. There was a meeting between him and Mohan ji in 2007/08 near Tadoba reserve forest in Vidarbha. Shortly thereafter “Vivekanand International Foundation” was started by then recently retired Ajit Doval. This tadoba reserve forest near Chandrapur later became witness to one more key meeting between Mohanji, Nitin ji (then BJP national president) and NaMo. This meeting is where it was agreed upon between these three that NaMo will be next leader. But that story will be told separately after all the relevant players have retired. That happened a couple of years down the line. Back to 2008 - Just before formation of VIF, Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS) was established within parivar. VIF participated and provided plenty of intellectual rigour to FINS. The first big FINS conference happened in 2009 in Haridwar in Ramdev Baba’s ashram where even retired army chiefs of Nepal Army (Rukmangad Katval) and Ajit Doval ji were main speakers. This is long before Modi’s rise on national scene. It was this buildup which internally forced Modi’s rise from within.

In #Dhurandhar2 is not a single dialogue which Muslims in India should find objectionable. It's all against Pakistani Terror factory. Yet many Muslims are upset. And then they cry 'don't take pur loyalty test'. Miyan, you fail in it daily.
