St Pancras lift down and ‘will be down for awhile’ Sigh.

Not only am I very unwell because I’ve missed my medication which I kept telling them about, but I’ve missed 2 work meetings now because of this hotel over the past 2 days. Most importantly though, at least I’m somewhere safe now and not in somewhere cancelling call alarms…

Left myself and another wheelchair user without a hotel originally and after a 4 hour battle I was transferred to another (unsuitable) hotel at midnight. They knew about the problem at 3pm. The other wheelchair user has had to go back to Manchester.

Just a heads up, if you’re staying at @premierinn Euston all 3 lifts have broken (aircon doesn’t work either and someone just walked out as her room is 30 degrees) & they just keep silencing their fire alarm call at reception 🚨

Why is @itsjojosiwa breaking my little heart tonight 😢 Really hope there was someone there for them at the finals… I just want to give them hugs, cups of tea and show how much they’re loved 🥰#CBBUK

@ShaniDhanda The Access To Work system cost me employers, jobs and my health. It is absolutely not fit for purpose. Still battling with them. I set up a government petition for it to be removed… I’m SO ready for this to change!!!!!!

The government’s Access to Work scheme has had up to 55,000 disabled people waiting to hear back on if their workplace adjustments will be covered, to get and stay in work. Why doesn't Labour fix that, it will actually help disabled people get in work? #NoAccessNoWork

@Tanni_GT I had 3 refuse me in one day once and I just sat by the road crying. Absolutely brutal. I find that at Kings Cross you tend to have no bother but the more rural you are the worse they get.

It’s time for a documentary on inclusion in the arts! 🙏🏻

For those who followed my ATW story, we’re still waiting for the final reconsideration. Had to cut jobs, support workers & rely on the (amazing) public donations to keep me working. Hopefully platforms like Strictly will help change perceptions of what disabled people can do.

If we get two disabled celebrity dancers through to Blackpool (rightly so!) & at my last Access To Work meeting I was told ‘you can’t be a dancer and need support’ (which was cut ✂️) let this be a big shake up as to how far you can go with the right help. #StrictlyComeDancing

I can’t tell you how many times I get told I can’t be a disabled dancer / teacher then @chrismccausland and @dbuzz6589 show the world how beautiful inclusion is. Every. Single. Week. This will change lives. 😭#StrictlyComeDancing
