I’m about to lose my mind. RESIDENCY IS TAXING. RESIDENCY IS BRUTAL. Medicine needs systemic change because the hours, the expectations, the workload are all taxing. This tweet ⬇️ is so disgusting

A nurse referred to me as the tech (twice) after I introduced myself as the resident. She later “apologized” stating that normally doctors are dressed nicely, which is why she didn’t recognize me (I’m in blue figs scrubs and a patagonia) aka what every resident wears 🙃

Ooo and everyone else chuckled. Just another day being a “valued member of the team” 🤗🤗🤗

The statement from dermatologist regarding DEI is highlighting what many in medicine already know because we went to medical school & residency with these people. They never beat the racism allegations, they’re usually smart enough to mask it but it always rears its ugly head.

While other colleagues have already posted, I felt compelled to amplify the anti-DEI movement happening in the main dermatology professional society @AADskin! A group of members have put forth a resolution to sunset all DEI programs. **Only 3% of dermatologists are Black.

Anyone here selling (or knows someone selling/donating 😅) peds board study resources please?

Wellness lecture from this morning. Lecturer: what do you like to do for fun? Resident: hiking L: ok, how can you get that same feel when you don’t have the time? R: I guess a treadmill? L: smaller scale. How about a lap around the office? 😅😅 Medicine is pure comedy.
