Something doesn’t add up… Before the war started, everyone I spoke to agreed the U.S. Navy (which is more capable than the rest of the world combined) CANNOT open the Strait of Hormuz militarily And everyone also confirmed what Iran warned: They will and can close the Strait of Hormuz if attacked Both pro-U.S. and pro-Iran analysts and military veterans agreed on both points So why the hell did Trump, who SHOULD have access to the world’s most capable intelligence and most experienced advisors, decide to enter this war? What am I missing??

@Narjes_Rahmati @SurusBarca They killed them (or tried to kill them) because they are Antizionist Jews who are friends with Antizionist Muslims. This is not acceptable in Jewish supremacy / Kahanism

The US-Israel have just bombed and destroyed a synagogue in Tehran. Iran is home to West Asia's second largest Jewish community.

That's just too Hollywood. Calm down

A middle-aged @usairforce colonel went through a shoot down and a parachute drop, was severely injured, treated his own wounds, ran five miles in enemy territory, climbed a 7,000-foot mountain, radioed the proclamation, "God is good," and then holed up in a crevice in near-freezing temperatures for two days while his brothers and sisters came to rescue him. That's America; that's the American military; that's the United States Air Force.

@Kewrious @NawafAlThani You are correct. To pass through The Strait of Hormuz in its entirety, you need to pass through stretches of both Omani and Iranian waters. Their waters, their toll if they so please. Don't like it? Should have been nicer.

Someone in @WhiteHouse watched the TV series TEHRAN. This uranium stealing plot is straight out of it.

Now that the dust has settled and we have more information especially after today’s press conference with Trump, this is my opinion and assessment of what happened with the rescue operation and I’m going to work through this methodically using only confirmed facts, verified geolocation, and documented prior reporting. 🧵 1/2 What does not add up in the official story? You don’t send hundreds of personnel, dozens of aircraft, and MC-130J Commando IIs to rescue one man whose position is known. Standard CSAR doctrine for a located survivor with beacon contact is a small, fast, low-footprint extraction. A Delta or SEAL team. Four to six aircraft maximum. In and out before the enemy can react. That is the entire design philosophy of CSAR operations. What was deployed instead looks nothing like a CSAR package. MC-130J Commando IIs are not CSAR aircraft. They are long-range special operations insertion and extraction platforms designed to deploy large numbers of troops and equipment. Each can carry up to 90 personnel or 64 paratroopers fully loaded. They carried MH-6 Little Bird helicopters. Multiple aircraft. Hundreds of personnel. A makeshift forward airbase established 23km north of Shahreza in Isfahan Province. That is not a rescue package. That is a task force. The Isfahan proximity is not coincidental speculation. It is documented. The forward airbase geolocation is confirmed by The Aviationist, Open source Intel, and Wikipedia’s dedicated rescue operation article. The agricultural airstrip used is 14 miles from Shahreza, in southern Isfahan Province. Isfahan is where the IAEA confirmed roughly 200kg of 60 percent enriched uranium is stored in tunnel complexes. The Washington Post on April 1, five days before the rescue operation, reported the US military had briefed Trump on a plan to seize nearly 1,000 pounds of HEU involving flying in excavation equipment and building a runway for cargo planes. PBS reported the operation would require 1,000 military personnel. Former Army Secretary Wormuth said forces would have to build an airstrip nearby. The operational profile described for a uranium seizure mission and the operational profile of what actually happened on the ground in Isfahan Province on April 4 to 5 are nearly identical. The ex-CIA analyst’s most credible explanation. The most analytically coherent account comes from the former CIA analyst at Sonar21, whose conclusion is this: the F-15E shootdown was genuinely unlucky and not staged. However the JSOC unit already pre-staged near Isfahan for the uranium seizure mission was redirected to conduct the WSO rescue because they knew the terrain and had the airstrip already mapped. The rescue became operationally entangled with a pre-existing uranium extraction staging operation. The two C-130s getting stuck disabled the FARP that had been established for that larger mission. The exposure of the airfield and the destruction of the aircraft may have compromised or forced cancellation of the uranium operation entirely. What Trump said today confirms more than it clarifies. He said 21 aircraft in the first wave alone under “very, very heavy enemy fire.” He said “not everybody was on board” with the rescue. He said some military people said “you just don’t do this.” That pushback from military professionals is consistent with JSOC commanders warning that diverting a pre-staged uranium seizure task force to a CSAR mission would expose the entire operation, blow the airstrip, and compromise months of planning. 👇🏼
