If you are raped or sexually assaulted, report it immediately. Don’t wait for years later until the man runs for office to go to news outlets to tell your story. And if you had consensual sex with him years ago, don’t turn it into rape for politics with conflicting stories.

The allegations against Graham Platner are troubling and deeply serious. I am rescinding my endorsement.

NEW: High level source close to the White House tells me “Mitch McConnell is officially brain dead. He’s not coming back.”

A woman who dated Graham Platner says he sexually assaulted her. “I just want the truth out there. I just want people to have a whole scope of who he is as a person," she said of the Maine Dem, who has faced a string of scandals over past offensive online comments and accusations of mistreating women. Platner responded: "These allegations are troubling, serious, and false. Any accusation of non-consensual behavior is categorically untrue." politico.com/news/2026/07/0…

I saw Young Washington earlier today with my son. I found it well-crafted, well-acted, and moving. It succeeds on the level of story-telling. And it doesn’t look cheap. It’s not a big budget production, but the disciplined use of VFX and AI give it a sweep that was visually effective. On the content side, the film supplies an effective and poignant glimpse into the early years of the man who became indispensable to the success of our Revolution and our new nation; and without being preachy, the film depicts some of the tensions that eventually fueled our Revolution. While the film takes some liberties with the facts, compared to most Hollywood productions, it is amazingly faithful to the big picture of what actually happened. If you haven’t seen it yet, I’d encourage you to do so on the big screen. Below I link to one of the fair-minded reviews of the film. rogerebert.com/reviews/young-…
