This should be national news. HHS officials just pulled a sick prank on taxpayers who were angry about RFK’s funding for abusive animal experiments. Taxpayers flooded HHS phone lines to demand that they shut down Fauci-era kitten and puppy labs. How did HHS respond? “Thank you for calling Domino’s Pizza!” That was the message that countless MAHA and MAGA supporters and other taxpayers heard when they were sent to voicemail. We exposed this in a live Senate hearing last week, and Sen. Joni Ernst said it made her “stomach turn.” HHS officials blamed a “rogue” employee—but then they didn’t even answer the demand that countless taxpayers were calling about. We exposed how the NIH has approved $126 MILLION in new funding for beagle and cat experiments since RFK Jr. took office. The NIH has repeatedly LIED to the public and said they’ve stopped the funding. We have spent months demanding accountability from RFK, Jr., NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya and Deputy Director Nicole Kleinstreuer. And the only response we’ve gotten is this sick prank. 🚨 BREAKING: We just worked with @SenatorCollins and @SenGaryPeters to re-introduce Violet’s Law, a bipartisan bill to allow lab animal retirement at all federal agencies. This bill, which White Coat Waste first worked with Sens. Collins and Peters to introduce in 2019, is more important than ever as we rein in wasteful government spending on animal testing. @RepNancyMace also introduced a bipartisan House version. During the first Trump administration, WCW’s Give Them Back campaign forced the release of dozens of cats, dogs, and primates from federal labs and secured the government’s first-ever lab animal retirement policies at NIH, VA, FDA, and the Pentagon. This past year, because of WCW’s advocacy, the EPA adopted out rabbits, rats, and fish, and the CDC has said it’s seeking to send primates to sanctuaries. But other agencies have refused to retire animal testing survivors. Dogs like Violet, dozens of cats WCW has saved from Fauci-funded labs, and other animals should be retired to loving homes and sanctuaries when taxpayer-funded testing ends or labs shut down—not senselessly killed and thrown away like trash. Taxpayers bought these animals. Violet’s Law will force Washington to give them back.
