@ask_aubry Hear me out. Her seeing him as a “father figure” and “safe” is not necessarily a positive. Unsafe can feel safe if it’s familiar. And her father is also her abuser. Don’t know if he is grooming but her understanding of healthy boundaries is very skewed.

Set boundaries for both the husband and sister and OMG therapy ASAP!

@ask_aubry Hey I’m autistic and NONE of this is funny! I do struggle and say/ do socially inappropriate things. But I APOLOGIZE if I hurt someone and respect boundaries! The fact he’s done is repeatedly puts him high on the ASSHOLE SPECTRUM!

This has nothing to do with autism and everything to do with lack of empathy. I personally don't engage with cruel personality types.

@ask_aubry I’m not just trying to brag but I think my husband and me do a healthy version of this. When I need help I ask for my “big strong man” in a very exaggerated southern accent. 😂 He thanks me every couple weeks for “keeping the house going while he works.” (I do not work) 💕💕💕

@ask_aubry I think that if he tells her and apologizes, this was like a medium level fuck up. If he keeps this a secret and continues the behavior….. or develops expectations on their sex life based on the ex. It’s AWFUL. Dump worthy offense!

@jerod_keevican @ask_aubry Seriously. This post hurts! My name is actually Claire. It’s cringe to realize my kid behaviors that got missed bc at 35…. Not just “weird” but autistic!

I'm an autism dad. My son does this (no new babies, but when he hears one in public he has a specific noise he makes as he beelines over). He knows he's not supposed to. He also does a lot of things he knows he's not supposed to do, because "it feels like dying" when he can't. Claire sounds like she's on the spectrum.

I feel bad for Claire, she needs parents who will help her understand boundaries and actual parent her.

@ask_aubry I get the strong feeling that there may be some undiagnosed/ignored autism here. The shrieking, the inability to recognize boundaries (physical and otherwise) all speaks to it.

@galaxibrain444 I hate that term too. If any ADHD folks disagree I promise this is a “me” thing. I feel like I needed to work on my ADHD to unlock the autism. ADHD to me is an annoying problem. Autism is like 20% of my being. In my soul! 💕

I only mention having autism in my bio because I refuse to use the word "audhd."
