We don’t talk enough about the quiet anxieties that can happen within our closest circles. It is a deeply challenging reality when someone we care about is going through an unstable time. What makes it so difficult is the unpredictability—sometimes there is actions that disrupt the peace, and other times, they genuinely lack the clarity to see the impact they are having on everyone else. But here is where we have to be honest: we cannot look the other way. Protecting our home and our loved ones requires us to see things as they are, even when it’s incredibly hard. Overlooking volatile behaviors just because of a history or a bond doesn't help anyone. Loving someone should never mean sacrificing the peace, balance, and well-being of the rest of the circle. It’s okay to admit when a situation isn't healthy. It’s okay to set uncompromising boundaries. And it is entirely necessary to prioritize the collective well-being of the group. True care means accepting reality for exactly what it is—not what we wish it would be—and focusing on health, firm boundaries, and peace. Check on your people. Protect your space. Look out for one another.
