As long as US and other Western military bases remain in the Gulf, these nations will be considered traitors to the Ummah. And there is no getting around this. Gulf countries must start working to expel the American presence from their lands and consider other security arrangements which do not involve betraying Islam. I have long advocated a Muslim Nato whereby Muslim nations come together in a military alliance which respects each other's sovereignty and guarantees each other's security.
