@xaxurro When I say particles I'm talking something simple, like translucent yellow cloud puffs that hover around the block and whatever. The same kind of effects that they already have been doing with campfires. It's really not that big of a technological feat.

@Lilah_NET If you want them to be visible that would be tons of particles which is still expensive to CPU. The problem with this takes is that you guys always assume the drop content is a priority when in reality is a placebo pill while they update the rendering system from scratch.

Here's a no-brainer idea that Mojang SHOULD have done already: What if the sulphur caves didn't allow you to place torches or lanterns at the risk of blowing the entire place up? Instead the player could be incentivised to use glowstone, shroomlights, or night vision potions!

Mojang is adding sulphur caves to Minecraft and instead of making them mechanically interesting to navigate (given the well known dangers of sulphur caves irl) they just shoved in a cutesy mob designed to sell merch and called it a day 😭

@xaxurro Already mentioned it but the way to make it easier to figure out is to just have a particle effect come from the sulphur blocks so players know something is up and can see what is and isn't dangerous.

@Lilah_NET It honestly would be an horrible thing. What if just a part of the cave is not visible? You explode out of nowhere, even if you give range to each block (besides to be expensive to your cpu) you would still have a chance to randomly explode
