In self defense cases using size disparity as evidence that the smaller person reasonably feared serious bodily injury especially if you have four thugs approaching Karmelo. Austin Metcalf was the initial aggressor, the threat was imminent, and he pulled up on a kid that is way smaller and way 70 pounds less.

The teen says no one ganged up on Karmelo. Witness adds that Karmelo was provoking Austin. Witness says Austin Metcalf pushed Karmelo but it wasn’t a hard push. That’s when Karmelo pulled the knife from his book bag and stabbed Austin. He adds, Karmelo tossed the weapon and ran off. The 9-1-1 call placed by the witness was played.
