Brighton under De Zerbi conceded 62 goals Everton who finished 15th conceded 51. Brighton were also in the bottom half of the table for errors leading to goals due to his system. Marseille finished 2nd but 8th in terms of goals conceded. We've seen his system more then enough, now continue to be pissed 😌

@Emzyl_ Obvious depends on what you want a player to do. Different football philosophies… however for me no way I take Rooney to a major tournament. His stats are terrible. But to the EPL yes maybe.

Some of the stuff I've seen about Rooney here is funny. He's earned the right to not rate Neymar and it's okay, people are talking about him like he's Carragher. Each to their own, but if I wanted to win a serious football match, I'm taking Peak Rooney over Neymar all day long.

@Luke_Chadwick15 You’ve listed clubs who are not comparable in size or pressure to United, and clubs/squads like Bayern/Barca/Madrid who were in far better states than United currently. There is plenty reason to doubt whether Carrick can win a CL, given he has a midtable championship level CV.

Obviously not directly comparable but seeing someone like Rosenior completely exposed at the very highest level is why I’m wary about Carrick long term. Similar experience and CV’s, but there levels to this game at the pinnacle of European football

Managers with little to no experience rarely take over Europe's elite clubs. Champions league is an elite competition ive given you a list of managers who have done well in their first seasons in the competition, there is no reason to think Carrick isnt capable of this either other than moaning.

@Luke_Chadwick15 You’re comparing clubs there that simply aren’t remotely comparable with managing United. Managers with little/zero experience taking over Europes elite clubs and succeeding are very rare exceptions in football.

@zirkwood_ Raw exception? Kompany, Avram Grant , Ten Haag with Ajax, Nagelsman with Leipzeg,Simmons, Tuchel even Bumerim managed it with Sporting.

Also watching Chelsea here is another reason why I don’t want Carrick as our permanent manager. Doing a brilliant job in the league but that all he has to focus on whilst playing once a week. Like Rosenier I feel he will be out of his depth in the Champions league next summer against some teams/managers he will come up against.
