Dreaming of decolonizing...

ne of my favorite sights at #ELCAYG2018 is how quickly we run out of blue and pink ribbon, because so many people want to mark themselves as allies of the trans community. We've only been open half an hour, and used an entire roll of ribbon!

We are exploring lots of topics at #elcayg2018 - including some that can be a little tough. Chaplains are available in NRG Center, rooms 102 & 103, from 8am-4pm each day if you need to talk. The Infoline (888-411-3522) also has resources for you.

I believe we are called to embody radical grace. But civility is a concept of empire used to keep “lower classes” in their place. It is a shibboleth that exists expressly to keep power among the privileged. Civility and grace are not synonyms.
