For the last 6 weeks I have tried booking a @LBRUT venue to coach a bunch of motivated 10-14 year old triathletes, in conjunction with another region. A great opportunity for everyone involved. Still no luck when I know the venue isn’t being used then. It’s like pulling teeth 🤬

The pandemic crippled many kids and clubs so it just has to be a priority to resist any cancellation/postponement unless it’s dangerous. Both these races didn’t even come close to that and it’s then up to teachers, coaches, clubs to pick up the pieces…(7)

Well...one aspect is it is the event where the largest spread of different types of physiology can be successful. This leads to the ultimate coaching challenge because one model will not fit most of your group. To get to that 1:43-1:41 range, you are really in the space of optimizing the individual. And there isn't a blue print for that, just principles and asking good questions with curiosity to better understand the individual.

In supporting Autism Awareness Month & Neurodiversity Week,we presented to a school assembly alongside Sam Holness and his coach/father,Tony.They gave an inspirational talk about using autism as a superpower to achieve great things in triathlon through hard work and consistency.
