Another growing problem in our society, especially in Lagos, is the issue of those Almajiri children begging in traffic.
This morning at Ajah, I witnessed something that really shocked me.
One babe had cooked rice and stew, packed them in takeaway plates, and came out to share with the children. It might have been her birthday or just an act of kindness. She asked them to form a line, and they did, although some kept trying to cut in front. She kept sending those ones back to maintain order.
As soon as she gave out the last plate of food, everything changed.
The children who didn’t get any, especially those she had sent to the back, suddenly started throwing things at her. It was chaotic. What shocked me the most was that some of the same children throwing things were holding the food she had just given them in their other hand.
One of the stones hit her on the forehead, and she started bleeding. People quickly rushed in to help her, and the children scattered and ran away.
The tears of regret on her face were painful to watch. Imagine trying to do something kind and ending up getting hurt for it. The amount of regret she will have right now eh😤

I witnessed real love yesterday.
I got to a keke junction and saw a crowd. Out of curiosity, I moved closer.
A grown man was on the floor… crying, wailing, holding his wife’s legs.
People thought something bad had happened.
Then we found out why.
It was his birthday… and his wife had just paid off the remaining ₦900,000 balance on his keke.
She just collected her contribution, arranged with the keke owner, and cleared everything.
The owner came to the park and handed over the documents right there.
The man couldn’t hold himself, he broke down completely.
Other keke riders started spraying the woman money.

Let me break this down slowly.
Dude claimed his election was stolen, then ran to court to ask for disqualification not to prove rigging.
Then doubled down and built his entire base on that contradiction.
Now let’s talk Abacha. The man he’s implying was better:
Hired killers. Murdered people. Jailed opponents. Created five parties just to adopt himself as sole candidate.
Banned people from even contesting.
He worked with that man. So I understand why Abacha looks “fine” to him.
But here’s what’s rich, the NADECO people he’s now attacking? They hold no grudges. Because if they did, characters like him wouldn’t even have a platform today.

These Chelsea players will start to realize how stupid they were for signing those long contracts (8-10 years)
Enzo Fernandez is not in a position to play hard guy with Chelsea, he signed a 8.5 years deal and still added an additional year. He has 6.5 years left on his contravt and can’t threaten to run it down. He either behaves himself and let the club sell him on good terms, stay and honor his contract or waste away on the bench.
