@Osgood81 Watching him working on his laptop on the coach home is a revelation. All to get a match gallery out in good time. Exhibiting a high level of commitment and skill.

@LeatherheadFC Anyone care to guess who the previous two Tanners players to score 30 goals in a season were?

89 years ago today, 13th February 1937: Sutton United 1 Woking 0, Surrey Charity Shield Semi Final. Sutton’s goal scorer was former Card E.C (Ted) Turner. Woking’s captain Alec Griffiths was knocked out cold TWICE #DirtySutton 🇲🇨

@AlexStepney1 The Barton on S&C team, was Tony who was manager when Aston Villa won the European Cup. He went to Sutton West school and played for Sutton before joining Fulham.

Many thanks to Ralph from MUSC London branch for this programme picture, takes me back !! The eagle eyed might recognise the name Ernie Hunt who played for Swindon boys that day, Ernie had a great pro football career, although neither of us knew then the path ahead🏐

@MarkFrake1 Yep. I knew you wouldn’t be about of course. First time I’d been down there. Good football people. Cup of tea and cakes in the boardroom/shipping container. And three points for the pirates.

The bogs in the self-styled “Bog End” at Tooting’s old Sandy Lane ground were of course disgusting and inhabited by the kind of low life yer mother warned you about. I only found out later it was an art installation created by those performative ponces to try and look hard.

Go on then... worst football bog? Toss up for me between Lincoln's underground air raid shelter and the Kippax indoor swimming pool.

@SUFCRootsHall You missed off the end of that first sentence, which should read with the considerable help of a poor refereeing decision.
