The worst thing Disney did to the visual of lightsabers was (this will sound stupid) having them emit light.
Imagine how awful these scenes would look if the sabers were these dumb LED sticks they use now

Obi-Wan and Darth Vader’s lightsaber duel from the Kenobi series finale really was the rematch of the century that it was hyped up to be. Still love how their lightsabers are essentially the only source of light in such a barren landscape. Visually was such a cool and symbolic choice IMO.

The reevaluation of the Star Wars prequel trilogy is fascinating. They were mocked when they released, but after the newer era of The Force Awakens onward, many viewers began appreciating the prequels’ ambition, worldbuilding, and vision from George Lucas.
