@listles09586215 @GachaTruth Idk why would that matter, Elden Ring is not filled with cinematics and was not in continuous development for half a decade after release There's over a hundred playable chars in genshin and each of them has dozens of voice lines just on their "story" page

@GachaTruth With the same logic, Genshin is also poor in management since Elden Ring's open world has far more interaction and depth than Genshin could ever wish for, lol. And genshin is 130gb atleast last I played. Indeed, sounds like poor excuse.

File size isnt a quality metric... its a product of assets management and optimization. "Its big because its better" really sounds like a poor excuse. And they shared Mobile games size, Elden Ring on PC is 60GB... #GachaTruth #GachaGames

@_null_entropy @ShirrakoGaming Dozens of titles from AAA studios fail each year because people like me don't buy into them, same goes for random slop games from every other developer The only difference between slop and AAA is that slop devs don't have thousands of hires so they can pump out slop with no risk

The hatred for AAA gaming has led many gamers to overpraise mediocre games out of spite.

@_null_entropy @ShirrakoGaming Not with that attitude, if you're comfortable accepting slop, that's on you. I personally and many people like me haven't bought in to Bad AAA studios titles in years. And for the record we've always had slop, thousands of indie slop games die every year, that's just how it is.

Small successes should be the goal and striving for more relevance in upcoming patches. Just look at deadlock, it's not even out yet and it's popular

That's just normal, what's not normal is riding on the live service train expecting to share an audience with 20 other similar games

39 hours later and I finally got 100% of the desert explored and you know what...I think the desert is over hated

@tigerangelfish @Mathster_0598 @yaedotwav There are around 200 chests in total in the new area which is roughly the same amount as most non x.0 region updates ever since even dragonspine. Only chenyu vale and first 2 Sumeru desert expansions have around 300.

@tigerangelfish @yaedotwav I am content with their map expansion schedule and quality because frankly, genshin impact is not my only game/hobby I finish every world quest map expansion within a week, then I work on achievements, team building then some endgame stuff. Between em I play/do other things.

it feels like genshin forgot it's supposed to be an exploration game first since the last patches of natlan

@tigerangelfish @yaedotwav Lesser? But it's roughly on par in terms of chest number and land area from most world quest map expansions, like chasm or enkanomiya I want them to release map expansions that make sense to their vision and not a conveyor belt of non stop map expansions.

@nob_2nd @yaedotwav I've always had the position of: seldom but good area with amazing quests is better than a constant conveyor belt of map expansions that are subpar I've always liked in genshin that map expansions are good and have mostly never been subpar except for that one sumeru coast area.

@nob_2nd @yaedotwav You're arguing a point I never made, infact, I have been one of the biggest critics about empty spaces that serve no purpose in the game, but people here taking a screenshot of a section of land that's not even the main content this patch is just absurd.
