@mikemoviez Man, I keep thinking about this. He probably would've won an Oscar if such a movie had been made. (Not just saying that because he looks like him here, but he was the best anyway. He won TWO Tonys, my goodness)

Seth, I love this question, and it's a bit morbid. One of my directors (my fav) died of natural causes, old age. Then we have a suicide, a young cancer death, and AIDS.

There is a thing in certain people's veins, where they don't just love The Replacements, it's like, we don't have a choice. It's as absurd as choosing a race or sexuality. It just IS, and we can't help it. I bet there are fellow 'Mats fans that just haven't heard 'em yet.

And the fact that they were the SNL musical guest in 1986 (my personal favorite season) and Harry Dean Stanton was the host? It can't just be me, but I feel like 'Mats devotees are also massive Harry Dean fans. They feel similar, somehow, right?

@damintoell It's important to note the game and series situation. This wasn't "it" by any means. Buckner became the scapegoat and ignorant fans and media ruined his life. My dad is the biggest sports fan I know, aside from myself, and he always felt terrible for Buckner. Unfair blame.
