Really not a fan of Raddysh. He just had a 33 point season-to-season and is already 30. He also had a shooting percentage of 10.5, 5 per cent better than his last career high. Seems like a guy who just had a weird heater year and won’t replicate it. #LeafsForever

@Leafs_25 @OhSaroast The point shot on the power play is definitely a big selling point. The age thing is more of a you don’t see players actually breakout at 30 point. Those years are usually more of a flash in the pan rather than a sign of things to come.

@MatteoG29_ @OhSaroast The main selling point for Raddysh is not the point shot, dude has all the underlyings of a top pair guy and addresses an immediate organizational need. The Leafs have gotten quality years out of like a 40 year old Giordano the sports science team is great

@WayUpGaming @LeafsGuy7 I don’t mind the cap hit but a savvy organization would look at the core of young players they have, the first overall pick and plan for the future to transition into a new era after Matthews and Willy. There’s a reason why Tampa is letting him walk.

@MatteoG29_ @LeafsGuy7 When u have 0 picks, u gotta make moves like this, we’ll worry about year 8 in year 8 if it even gets there, we all know Robidas Island exists. Plus cap is going up so realistically this is like a 6.5m deal.

@OhSaroast I mean I think the points and shooting percentage are a fair point for a Dman whose main selling point is the shot and offensive production. Shooting percentage also matters with a guy who scored as much as he did. It also just shows how much of an outlier last season was.

@MatteoG29_ I think focusing on points and shot% is a foolish way to look at adding a solid dman. Seems like he can defend, use his size, move the puck, and has a great shot and mind for the powerplay. Also, gotta stick to what he is relative to the team, massive upgrade for TO.

@LeafsGuy7 He’s definitely an upgrade on the right side. We’ve had nothing there for a while I just don’t love having an eight year commitment to someone in this situation.

@MatteoG29_ x.com/jfreshhockey/s… Heater or not, he’s still a massive upgrade on their right side. Hes still gonna get top line & top PP mins with dynamos so the points will be there & at 8.5, it’s not a horrible contact at all.

@MatteoG29_ As a Lightning fan, you're going to love him. The only reason for the spike in points is because Tampa only started using him on PP this year. He had more opportunity and took advantage, he's a decent defender and will help Leafs PP.

As a Leafs fan who covers the Blackhawks this Frondell and Knies talk makes no sense 😭 Frondell is obviously great and Chicago wouldn’t move him plus the Leafs need a top pair Dman. I have no idea where this discussion started but it’s outrageous. #LeafsForever #Blackhawks
