Today is the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere. 🌼 In the Menil Collection's foyer is Andy Warhol's "Ten-Foot Flowers," 1967–1968. See this work, among a selection of Pop art by Robert Indiana and Ed Ruscha, through Sunday, March 29. Admission is always free.

It's rodeo season in Houston. 🤠 When Rene Magritte visited Houston in 1965, Dominique de Menil took the artist and his dog Lou-Lou to the Simonton, Texas, rodeo. Round up friends and family to take an art break at the Menil Collection. Admission is always free.

Artist René Magritte was born on this day in 1898. Did you know that the Menil Collection has one of the largest collections of the artist's work in the world? See works by the artist in the museum's galleries. Admission is free.

The museum's Menil Drawing Institute opened #onthisday in 2018. Currently on view is "Wall Drawing Series: Gladys Nilsson" and "Lines of Resolution: Drawing at the Advent of Television and Video."
