@chrisspeedvj Nah ofc it is. I think it's just that alot of peoples pre-conceived thought of dark ambient ukg is extremely linked to Burial. Have a look at Al Wootton for example. Very much dark ambient ukg, but a very different sound. Just move away from his signature sounds

@codechris @annabel_ross I believe it's structural in a sense. I didn't grow up on any sort of electronic music and neither did 99% of my friends. The swedish underground in the 80s/90s were miniscule afaik. Just keep supporting the existing scene and it'll flourish with time!

what is it about Sweden that produces so many pop geniuses?

@annabel_ross However Stockholm is different and I also believe this will change in the coming years ahead. If I remember correctly most of these super songwriters are from small towns spread across the country.

@annabel_ross Of course! There has for many years been a great output of underground music and labels from Sweden but if you look at swedish music culture as a whole there's no real movement I think - as compared to the UK for example.
