AI models are getting better and better. The need for real performing L1s will make itself apparent with time. Lvl2s work for some edge cases but the real value will likely accrued to updated Lvl1s over time.

Biggest update AI coding could get is understanding hierarchy both in terms of importance of current tasks intuitively as well as overall structure of a project. It would be much more powerful if instead of just docking on to a project somewhat selfishly it would assess the full project first in terms of a blueprint and find the best way to structure it so contagion became less of a risk. Currently its very easy for one task to be misunderstood as important and for it to change the full more important project. This is a similar issue to an AI always trying to prove you right after a few loops. Instead of actually assessing the full truth and under it your feedback it recontextualizes as a new full layer rather than a hierarchical full context truth objectively vs your subjective truth and comparing. Furthermore when you code it is easy to forget some aspects that then become death notes, like for example changing one moving piece for a new tool not realizing it kills 5 other things when doing so. It prioritizes the current task and forgets about the global goal and truth. Anyone with thoughts? Tried .md, rules doc, folders, different backends....

Only thing the closed strait is making sure of right now is that everyone is selling treasuries. Yields are exploding higher with the 30Y near multi year highs. The amount of money this will cost the US via the treasuries that need refinancing via the roll is unreal. Multi hundred billions to Trillion+. Markets breaking out above the rates set by the FED. Remember when the admin was screaming at Powell to lower rates to refinance… crickets
