Would make Perez look ‘ambitious’ and it would make Atletico look brave and give Barca message that Alvarez isn’t for sale

Florentino Pérez made a huge public show of a €150M bid, only for it to be Julián Álvarez. The move conveniently inflates the player's market value and complicates any potential approach from Barcelona.
The fear of Barça in the capital must be enormous right now if they're doing everything possible to make sure we stop signing players. 😂
