Here's how Addu MP Sina scammed @MMuizzu: Muizzu spent 2.5M clearing his loan, helped protect his parliamentary seat by influencing the Supreme Court! Appointed him as Addu PNC focal point, & got humiliated by Muizz twice. On top of that, he ate all the campaign money! 🤣

The current practice of making police officers commit those records to memory and forcing them to recite them by rote makes a mockery of the trial. Having to pretend to be able to recall incidents which happened in the distant past calls integrity into question.

In addition to providing police with the convenience of testifying via a/v link perhaps the courts can start making use of s 109 of the Evidence Act which allows police eyewitnesses to be lead by contemporaneous records of what they saw.

Case challenges the illegality, bad faith, and unfairness in the referendum process. One issue, among many is: - On 16/2/2026 president submitted an application to the EC to conduct a referendum & set the date as 4 April 2026. - On the same day, the EC complied & announced the referendum date as 4 April 2026. - Next day, the EC convened its Commission to decide on the application. As per the Referendum Act and Articles 167 and 170 of the Constitution, EC must fix and announce a referendum only after carefully considering the application and ensuring that a fair vote can be conducted. If the question in the application lacks clarity, or if a fair referendum cannot be conducted within the timeframe requested by the applicant, then EC should reject it. Here, the opposite happened. The EC treated the application as an order and arranged its work according to the timeline set out in the application. This resulted in violations of several other rights, including the right to vote and the right to meaningful participation in the affairs of the State.
