No contradiction. Jesus saves those who believe in the real Jesus of Scripture, not a different gospel.
Paul warns in Galatians 1:6-9: turning to “a different gospel which is really no gospel at all” brings a curse.
Mormons use “Jesus” but teach a different Jesus (created being, brother of Lucifer), a different God, and salvation by faith + works/temple rites. That’s not biblical.
True gospel:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
It’s grace through faith alone in Christ’s finished work. I was a former atheist saved by the real Jesus in 2016. No one is too far gone. Repent and believe the true gospel. God loves you.
