@mauriakme@TeamHerps Tuataras are a part of the order Rhynchocephalia, despite their lizardy appearance. Native to New Zealand, these guys are the last in their lineage, which split from other reptiles about 220 MYA.
Our next meeting will be Monday (11/18) at 6:00 pm in the dissection lab (Derring 1047). Be forewarned: we will be dissecting snakes for the collection! If you’re up for it we’d love to see you there! 🐍🐍🐍

Halloween Social this Friday from 6-9pm in the Massey Herbarium (Derring 3017). There will be a pumpkin carving competition (bring your own pre-carved pumpkin) and a showing of Jurassic Park. There will also be free pizza!
