President Trump has 50 "free" hours to contain the bond market by the futures open on Sunday.
If history is any guide, Trump and Bessent will be working overtime on the containment of the bond market this weekend.
If not, things will get very ugly, very fast.
The Kobeissi Letter@KobeissiLetter
We are ending the week with US oil prices at $101/barrel, the S&P 500 at a 232-day low, and the US 10Y Note Yield at 4.44%. If the last 14 months have taught us anything, it is that the next 50 hours until the 6 PM ET futures open on Sunday are going to be highly eventful. Trump must contain the bond market immediately. Turn on our post notifications at @KobeissiLetter to be notified of real-time developments and our analysis as this progresses. We expect a very busy weekend ahead.

for a good year, all you need are a few good months
for a good month, all you need is one good week
for a good week, all you need is one good trade
focus on one good trade at a time
this is the 80/20 law in trading
20% of your trades will make 80% of your profits
the problem is that most of you expect to make money on 100% of your trades
you want to take a trade every day of the week
you force mediocre setups in between the actual good ones
instead of waiting for the few that actually matter, you dilute your edge by taking action when you shouldn’t
one good setup can pay for days of waiting
an A+ framework allows you to scale into multiple positions while keeping your open risk at 1R
one such trade can make your month
but that only works if you’re patient enough to wait
being patient is what pays

🚨 THE DOMINOES ARE FALLING. IN MONTHS, NOT YEARS.
Here is the playbook for the rest of 2026. Screenshot this. Come back in December.
Step 1 ⏳ Ceasefire announced in April. Strait of Hormuz opens. Trump declares victory. Headlines everywhere.
Step 2 ⏳ "Talks continue." Markets rally. Everyone exhales.
Step 3 ⏳ Sell in May. Smart money exits. Retail holds the bag.
Step 4 ⏳ Re-escalation. Strait of Hormuz CLOSED again. Oil spikes past $120.
Step 5 ⏳ Threat of nukes. Not a bluff this time. Carrier groups reposition.
Step 6 ⏳ Market nukes. Circuit breakers triggered. $3,000,000,000,000+ wiped in a week.
Step 7 ⏳ Ground invasion begins. Troops that "came home" go back. Casualties mount.
Step 8 ⏳ China hints at Taiwan invasion while the US is buried in the Middle East.
Step 9 ⏳ North Korea missile tests. Three fronts. One military.
Step 10 ⏳ BTC drops below $50,000. Crypto winter 2.0. $900,000,000,000 in market cap GONE.
Step 11 ⏳ Buy signal Q3/Q4. Blood in the streets. Generational entry.
Step 12 ⏳ Printer goes BRRR. Emergency rate cuts. Fed capitulates.
Step 13 ⏳ War ends. Not because of peace. Because of midterm elections.
Step 14 ⏳ Bull market starts. The people who bought the blood become the next millionaires.
The ceasefire is Step 1. Not the end.
Everyone celebrating in April will be panicking by July.
This is EXACTLY what happened in 2001, 2008, and 2020. THE SAME SEQUENCE IS PLAYING OUT RIGHT NOW.

The most successful traders I’ve ever met all share one thing:
They got knocked down… and kept going.
Not one of them had a smooth path. Not one of them “figured it out fast.” Every single one failed, stumbled, doubted, and kept showing up anyway.
That’s the trait that separates survivors from statistics.
